Handling Characteristics

The use of the rudder is minimal and is used mainly for directional control during take-off and landing rolls.All primary & secondary flight controls are hydraulically operated. The 'underslung' engines will produce pitch changes with thrust changes. A thrust increase will cause nose up pitch. A decrease a nose down pitch.

The Boeing 737-300 has the following flap positions: Up, 1, 5, 15 and 30. A change in trim with flap is negligible, except for Flaps 15 and 30 when a nose up moment can be expected. Leading Edge Devices operate according to Trailing Edge Flap Position.
