Continental Airlines is the latest carrier to announce reductions in airplanes, capacity and employees. The Houston-based carrier announced early Thursday that it will reduce its fleet a net of 21 airplanes in the second half of the year and another 10 in 2009 to go from 375 airplanes to 344 airplanes. As a result, it plans to eliminate about 3,000 jobs.
