Low Cost Airline for Dubai

 According news resources a new low cost airline will soon be operating in and out of Dubai.

Reason for the launch of the new airline are the increasing passenger numbers in the region.
The airline is to be operated by Emirates (EK).

The inaugral flight is planned within a year from now, said Sheik Ahmed bin Said al-Maktum, director of the board of Emirates Airline. Most destinations of the new airline are within 4- 41/2 flying hours it has been said.

The biggest Low Cost airline in the region is currently Air Arabia. Dubai has the highest passenger numbers in the Middle East. Last year 19% more passengers were using Dubai Intl. Airport compared to the previous year. Dubai is currently building a new airport, supposedly the biggest in the world.

Does anyone know more details or rumours about this new venture of EK? Conditions to join?
