There is a pilot shortage in China/Asia.
Business Aviation is booming.
Foreign pilots have to fill the gap.

When will NJ China come alive? And more important of all: From where will they take the pilots?
Are newcomers going to China before the get to fly here?

Rumours, comments?

Hi,
What I know they do evaluate this market. But who else isn't? The problem with the chinese market IMHO is the society and political system. Its not yet common for a business man to 'show' his money unless he has certain connections to the government or lives abroad (e.g. Hong Kong) with a second passport etc...People get richer in China and society is changing but it doesn't happen overnight. Although it happens pretty fast...

Other companies have started evaluating the chinese market as well and did their homework. I don't know though how their business is going. I reckon the outlook is pretty good?

Here an article I've found on the web:
NetJets Inc. has moved a vice president into the top job for its Cincinnati-based private jet charter subsidiary.

The company said Tuesday that Benjamin J. Murray, vice president for new business development in NetJets' sales operation, will become president and CEO of Executive Jet Management Inc. The company provides charter and aircraft management and on-demand air charter services.

Murray, who has spent more than a decade in the aviation industry, replaces Albert Pod, who was chief executive since 2000. Pod will be leading NetJets' efforts to expand business operations to China.

The appointment marks a return to Executive Jet Management for Murray, 35, who spent four years with the business as vice president of sales before becoming an executive at Woodbridge, N.J.-based NetJets.

NetJets sells fractional ownership of airplanes, allowing companies and individuals the option of using private jets without the cost of maintaining them.

The company employs more than 1,400 workers in Columbus. Executive Jet employs 600 workers nationwide.
