Does anyone have any information on what I could expect from an
interview with VK?
And, considering this will be my first airline interview..

Hello zedflyer and welcome to the forums!

First of all congratulations for getting the interview. I don't know your experience but recruiters usually want to see more the more experience you have. Or put in another way, they want to see different things depending on your experience. From a young and 'fresh from school' pilot they usually want to see basic flying skills. With more hours recruiters look mainly for decision making skills. Experienced or not you should be a teamplayer, dependable and trustable.

Dress code: You can almost never be overdressed, unless they tell you to come in jeans. As a pilot and future commander you represent the airline. So dress accordingly. Cleaned black or navy-blue suit and black shoes with black socks. A white shirt is the safest way to go as you will probably wear also a white shirt when at work. Go for a nice tie, not to fancy which goes well with the suit. Ask your girlfriend/sister/mom for their opinion. They often sense if something is odd with your dress!

On the day:
Plan to arrive with some extra time. Traffic jam is no excuse to be late.
Drink water and try to avoid coffee/tea and fruit juices. They make you go to the loo at the most unconvenient time.
Have at least 2 fully updated CV's in your briefcase. You might be required to hand one out to the members of the interview panel.
Have all your updated logbooks with you if possible, unless stated otherwise in the invitation.
Be aware of your posture. Don't sit in the chair like in the hotel lobby after a 12 hour flight duty! Don't cross your legs or arms. Best is to rest your hands on your thighs. Use them to emphasize your point.
Be positive and smile! Don't make silly jokes though...

There would be a lot more tips I could give you but it would fill a book.
Talking about books, there is a good one which covers all about airline pilot interviews.

Its not free but interviews are often quite costly. Travel to the interview, dress, accommodation just to name a few costs.

Let me know if you need more advice and I try to help. Unfortunately I do not have any info on the program of the day. Just be yourself!

Are there any other tips I ommitted for a 'first airline interview'?

Let us know how it all went, would be interesting.

Best of luck.
