Where lies the biggest saving potential?

 Folks, where do you think lies the biggest potential in the aviation industry to reduce emissions and costs?

E.g. New aircraft, Air Traffic Control, Alternative Fuels, Emission Trading Schemes (ETS)...?
Any other ideas?
