Dear members, pilots and wannabees
Welcome to flightwork.com - The International Pilots Net. If you are new here, we would love to hear from you. Drop us a line and let us know why you are here and how you have found us!
I will start with myself
My name is Stefan, and I have founded this site about 2 years ago in an effort to make the job search and information exchange easier for pilots around the world. Webdesign is one of my favourite things to do beside flying and my reward is not money but an active community. So please join the International Pilots Net - its free.
I am holding an ATPL Licence and have been flying internationally for airlines in Switzerland and the United Kingdom. An opportunity also made me join a Business Jet Company some years ago which is completely different operation compared to airline flying and can bring a lot of variety into your professional life. The job enabled me to travel the world on all continents apart from Australia!
Currently I am working for a TRTO (Type Rating Training Organisation) where we train pilots from all over the world to get their aircraft type rating. Who knows, may be I see you one day!
And what about you?
Stephen

Hi
I must say this is a great site, it have everything in one place.
I have just finished my education and are hunting for my first job. To bad the the requirements for most of the jobs are a litle to high for me
I did most of the training in USA and then went to Europe to to convert my licence to JAA standard.
To bad this is a quite cruel time to get my first job but I know that as long as I dont give up I will get something eventually
Good luck and happy landings

Hello double_G
Welcome to our community! I am very happy to hear that you find the site useful. It was my intention to have everthing in one place, it makes the job search so much easier. I hope over time the content will grow even further so that the site becomes a valuable job resource and community site for pilots all over the world. An ambitious goal I know...
In modern aviation times a virtual meeting place for air crews is important.
Tight schedules make it sometimes hard to catch up with colleagues in betwween flight duties.
Good luck to your job search double_G. I fully agree with you that if you hang in there, you will succeed eventually. Fingers crossed!

Hi,
I am Adam from the Netherlands. At this moment I am a student at AIS Flight Academy, check pilotinfo.nl for info. Probable the end of april 2009 I will complete the education.
I have found this website through google because I was searching for info that could help me to prepare for a grading. The info I wanted is what type of questions an airliner could ask during an technical interview. I was very glad that I found this website. My appreciation goes to you Stephen as founder of this website, thnx.
Greetz,
Adam

Hi Stuart
Thanks for your 'hello' here! Does that mean you are currently flying the Jetstream in Africa? Is that possible with an FAA licence? Just curious...Have a great weekend. Cheers and greets from Amsterdam

Hello There,
I stumbled upon your website when I typed in "Jetstream32 companies" into Google. I read a few of your posts and here I am. The layout of this forum and this website seems great!!
I like, one of the other members also have a type-rating on the Jetstream 32, and hope that the job I am going to be doing will allow me to fly alot. If not I will have to look elsewhere for companies that fly this type of plane.
I have noticed that not many companies use this aircraft type, however I was wondering if the other gentleman who has a type on them, Stuart I think his name is, whom he flies for in Africa.
Happy New Year to you all.
Regards,
Airmiles

Happy 2009 to you as well. To get in touch with Stuart I suggest you to use the 'Private Message' function in the forum. Just write zedflyer a message and he will get an e-mail about your PM.
