Been through many postings on other forums but still have a few questions. Hope one of you can help.

How flexible is Netjets on the minimum hours required? I meet all requirements easily but not the TT. On fighters you don't build as many hours as others do. I have now 1800 hrs TT.

Found a list of about 100 airports and people are talking about 'no commuting' etc..
Are those the airports you can live near? Or can you live anywhere you want and commute?

Any help appreciated.

The listed airports are the ones you can live near. The closer you live the less time consuming...Once you are hired you pick one and thats where you start and finish your trip.

NJ applies the 1.2 conversion. I'm afraid there is no flexibility reg. the min hours as all owners have a contract with NJ that all flight crews have a minimum of 2500 hrs.

Maybe getting a CFI ticket at your local flying club might help you to get the hours quicker. Just a suggestion.

Hope it works out for you.

squadron1,

You could also try Cape Air, AmeriFlight or Airnet, they are all good stepping stones. With these outfits you will be flying 80-100 hrs a months, they've got J/S agreements making commuting easy.

I also recommend to apply with NJ if their system allows it. You will then be flagged as someone with longterm interests when interviewed. This will put you ahead of others just 'looking for a job'.

Good luck.
