Austrian 50-seater give-away

Deleted user Austrian has announced to get rid of most of its 50 seater aircraft. They operate 15 CRJs and 10 Q300 and want to reduce them to below ten...that means acc. my calculations they wanna sell at least 15 of its 50-seaters. The plan is to replace them with bigger aircraft (Fokker 70/100). According to news sources Austrian does not want to add new aircraft types...

I would assume most of the pilots are happy with that although the Fokkers are getting a bit old...
Wouldn't it be cheaper in the long run to introduce a modern jet such as the Embraer family?
