On other online platforms (pprune) it is reported that paying money gets you quicker into a seat of an airliner:

to join Air india - 20 lakhs "under the table" AKA bribe.
to join Jet Airwys - 18 lakhs under table
to join Indigo - 15 lakhs under table
to join kingfisher - 17 lakh under table.

if candidate not have his foreign licance conveareted to DGCA he can get it done fast by paying 2 or 3 lakhss more than above quoted figurees.

The DGCA apparently knows about this situation and is accused of even being involved in it.
Have you made similar experience in India?

Some degree of 'corruption' is going on in many countries, make no mistake. In most cases though no money is involved and its enough to know the right people. Can someone confirm the above rumour?

Hello,
It is a normal thing in india that you have to pay if you want to get the job in any sector even in airline industry. it happens due to corruption in india. Thank you.
