Hello everyoneicon_smile.gif , my name is Bobby and i am from Greece, i am 31 years old.Few days ago i was searching in Google for pilot jobs websites and accidentally i found this forum i must say thou that is the most organized forum that ever saw,u can find many useful information for everything.

As about my pilot career i am new..haha I get my cpl IR -ME in 2008 with atpl theory credit,i send many cv's in every airline in Europe however i had negative results since with 225 hours is difficult to get a job as first officer in airline (cargo ,corporate, ambulance ,etc)so i decide to make a ''small'' step to get the FI license as well, this ''small'' step it helps me a lot to gain experience , to learn every day new things to act like commander and most of all to gain flight hours . So for 4 months now i work as fi in Greek flight school fto i am really exited about to offer knowledge in new students, to learn them how to fly, its really amazing and creative.

regards

Hello bobby, welcome to the forums!

I think you did make the right decision to get your FI rating. In my opinion flight instruction is a very rewarding work you can do as a pilot. And as you correctly pointed out, it is excellent training for becoming a Captain on a bigger aircraft at a later stage. It also shows how much flying means to you. I am sure you will succeed one day and get a job as a commercial pilot if your flying skill are fine. But be aware getting to fly a shiny big jet does not make you necessarily more happy. At times it can be also quite monotone. So enjoy what you are doing now! icon_smile.gif

Best, Stefan

Greetings all, my name is Ren and I'm from Jamaica. Finished my flight training (for now) about two years ago in Florida then came home. Have been trying to find something ever since but so far no luck. A bit limited on the hours but still high in hope though icon_smile.gif . Stumbled across this place via a google search and I must say its nice to find somewhere like this where I can network without having to fork out cash I don't presently have. Kudos and thanks to you Mr. Admin, sir icon_smile.gif . Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hi there,

my name is Tasos i am from Greece but now i am in USA to gain my CFI ratings and work as instructor for more experience for later stages of my carier. I have already finish with my multi-cpl/multi-ir and i am looking for a job parallel with my flight instructor job. My passion is the business aviation but i am realist and i know its very difficult for my 270hr total time experience. I am very happy to find this perfect forum.

Regards Tasos
