CMV - Converted Met Visibility

Deleted user Recently I came across an IFR approach chart, which showed instead of RVR values a CMV. Anyone knows the reason for this?

Hi there,

Here the explanation:
Converted Meteorological Visibility (CMV). A value (equivalent to an RVR) which is derived from the reported meteoro-
logical visibility, as converted in accordance with the requirements in this subpart.

Its a new term used in the new Appendix 1 of EU-OPS 1 / 1.430.
