I'm unsure about this question guyz.. 1. How would you describe Lambert Chart and Mercator Chart? 2. What are the main difference between Lambert and Mercator Chart? Thanking you in advance..

Hi, I would answer this as follows: 1) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercator_projection http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lambert_conformal_conic_projection 2) The main difference is the type of projection. The Mercator chart is a cylindrical map projection chart while the Lambert chart is a conic map projection Aeronautical charts are mostly of the Lambert chart type. flightwork.com - International Pilot Network |
